5 Seconds of Summer band history and tidbits

5 Seconds of Summer is a popular new pop band from Sydney, Australia.  The band is made up of lead singer and guitarist, Luke Hemmings , Michael Clifford on vocals and guitar, bass player Calum Hood also on vocals, and Ashton Irwin on the drums/vocals.  The band first gained popularity on the number 1 video site owned by Google, YouTube. On Youtube, 5 Seconds of Summer kept getting more and more views and listeners and were able to sell over 259,000 of their self titled debut album in the first week of it's release.  In February 2014, they came out with "She Looks So Perfect". She Looks so Perfect topped the charts in Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and the United Kingdom and has reached 19 in the U.S.  Their self-titled debut studio album was released in June 2014 and continues to sell well. 5 Seconds to Summer is going on a summer tour in 2015 and will be playing U.S. arenas and sheds on the trek. They are also the opening act on One Direction's current summer tour and will surely can fans through this exposure too! 5 Seconds to Summer mixes new school lyrics with old school guitar licks, similar to One Direction, but of course fresher and younger so their new fans can relate.
