O's ticket preview

The Baltimore Orioles are going to score more runs than almost every other team outside of Boston next year. They put 745 on the board in 2013, despite their bats cooling off down the stretch. And the offseason brought Nelson Cruz, and his 27 home runs from Texas.
Cruz will fit right in, as Chris Davis (53), Adam Jones (33), J. J. Hardy (25) and Matt Wieters (22) all topped 20 homers last year. Davis was an MVP candidate throughout 2013, leading the Majors in home runs, runs batted in (138), and total bases (370). His season was so impressive they diminished Jones' standout year at the plate, where the centerfielder posted his first career 30/100 season. The power in the Baltimore lineup is undeniable.

Pitching is another story. Or maybe another question mark. Chris Tillman and Wei-Yin Chen return after solid 2013 campaigns. But beyond that pair, the O's starting lineup isn't exactly a who's who of hurlers. It might be more aptly described as a "where are they now" of once promising pitchers. Ubaldo Jimenez looks to regain form from his no-hitter throwing days. And speaking of pitchers trying to live up to early feats, Bud Norris is still trying to find whatever magic helped him to several near-no-hit bids between 2009 and 2011. Since then the right-hander has shown diminished returns, posting a 10-12 record for the Astros last year. Two-time Cy Young winner Johan Santana is also on the team, although his recovery from a shoulder injury is questionable at this point.
The good news is that Orioles skipper has done more with less as recently as 2012. That club was another combination of dominant offense and ragtag pitching, but Showalter made it work by expertly utilizing his bullpen to create favorable matchups. The Orioles were also the top fielding team in the majors last year, and 3B Manny Machado made a handful of plays that had many of the Baltimore faithful whispering comparisons to the great Brooks Robinson. Machado was hurt at the end of 2013, but hopes to return around opening day.

Hopes are high at Camden Yards, as they should be. The Orioles can hit. They can field, and they have a manager who knows how to get the most out of a lineup. But the American League East is loaded once again. The O's are going to have their work cut for them in 2014.

Baltimore Orioles Ticket info and season preview

September 30, 2012. That date doesn’t mean anything to most people. But for fans of the Baltimore Orioles, it’s the day that their years of frustration finally came to an end. Suddenly their team was no longer the punch line to a cruel joke. On that day the Orioles clinched a playoff berth for the first time since 1997. Years of bottled up excitement exploded. Fans rushed to buy Baltimore Orioles tickets online, and their team won its first series of the playoffs – a one game series with the Texas Rangers. When Baltimore was finally ousted by the New York Yankees in the following series, a magical season came to an end. And hope was sparked for an even better 2013 campaign.
Camden Yards was electric last year. The Orioles not only won. They won in the most dramatic fashion imaginable. The O’s were 29-9 in one-run games. If that number seems hard to believe, it’s because it’s the best record any team since 1900 has had in one-run games. Baltimore fans will tell you this is a direct result of Orioles manager Buck Showalter being a genius. After all, Baltimore doesn’t have any household names. Unless you love baseball, you probably don’t know who Adam Jones or Matt Wieters are. But Showalter turned his group of no-names into a tenacious team that refused to back down to more talented opponents.

The Orioles have their fair share of talent, but it’s spread throughout the team. The O’s don’t have one .300/30/110 guy. They’ve got Jones, Wieters and Chris Davis - three players who combined for 78 home runs and 250 RBIs. That trio took turns carrying Baltimore at different points of the season. And when they struggled, players like Nick Markakis and Wilson Betemit came through. Production by committee works in Baltimore.

The Orioles pitching is also a combo platter. Showalter pieced together a winning rotation throughout the year, but key members Josh Hammel and Wei-Yin Chen return in 2012. And closer Jim Johnson remains an unstoppable force in the bullpen. The closer logged 51 saves last year.
So get your Baltimore Orioles tickets today. This is a team that has a taste for winning. After fifteen years, they finally broke through. But you can be sure they’ll want even more this year.

Baltimore Orioles Tickets – Continue the Surge
Baltimore Orioles tickets look to continue the late season surge of 2010 as the 2011 MLB season gets underway. The Baltimore Orioles, as you remember, were looking pretty dismal until management installed Buck Showalter. The veteran manager instilled discipline and pride in a young squad and Orioles ticket holders watched their young team finish strong with a 57-34 record under Showallter’s guidance. Hopes are high that the Baltimore Orioles can continue that surge and do some damage in 2011. Find out if Showalter can finish what he started with Baltimore Orioles tickets from ABCTickets.com.

Orioles Tickets – Breaking ‘Em Down
While Orioles fans would have loved to see their heroes spend big bucks and sign some superstars, it didn’t happen. Once again the Baltimore Orioles will be a lunch pail MLB team, trying to jell into a whole greater than the sum of its parts. The Orioles did ink some new names though, signing 3rd baseman Mark Reynolds away from Arizona and shortstop J.J. Hardy from Minnesota. Those moves should beef up the hitting power in the lineup, improve the defense, and give the younger talent on the team some veteran leadership.
Looking for some more bright spots to go along with your Orioles tickets? Consider the pitching rotation. Baltimore watched its young rotation turn in a solid performance as the season progressed as the Orioles as a unit finished with a 3.16 ERA under Buck Showalter. Jeremy Guthrie is the most polished of the group and ended the last half of the season at 8-4. Brian Matusz continues to develop, and Showalter will have to build a rotation from Chris Tillman, Brad Bergesen, Jake Arrieta, and possibly the young Zach Britton.

Baltimore Orioles
O! Say can you see with Baltimore Orioles tickets

This year is sure to be an exciting one at Oriole Park at Camden Yards, home stadium to the Baltimore Orioles since 1992. With a losing streak that's lasted nine straight years the Orioles say that 2007 is their year to shine.

Orioles ticket holders meet the players at FanFest

The fans seem to think this could be the Orioles year, as well. Baltimore Orioles tickets are in demand as fans flock to Oriole Park at Camden Yards to see what the teams ten new players can do. At the recent 'FanFest' more then 10,000 die hard Orioles fans came out, braving the chill, to meet their favorite players, get to know the 'new guys', and pick up some Orioles team memorabilia. All of the current Orioles, and many former players, turned out to greet and sign autographs for Baltimore Orioles ticket holders.

Why you want Baltimore Orioles tickets this year
Sam Perlozzo, now starting his second full season as manager, seems confident that his team can live up to the Baltimore Orioles ticket holders' hopes. The team boasts four time all star Miguel Tejada, who is considered one of the best players of the game. The Orioles also have a full staff of pitchers who are making headlines. Add in the 40 million dollars the Orioles spent on the team bullpen and you can see the team is starting out on the right foot.

However the Baltimore Orioles have a tough road ahead of them. They are up against a division that baseball watchers consider the best in the game. While Baltimore Orioles ticket holders know that their home team has gotten better so have many other teams in their league- most notably the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees. Many baseball pundits have made the comment that it's not enough for the Orioles to improve themselves, they have to improve at a faster rate then the rest of their league. And those teams are doing their best to make that hard for the Baltimore Orioles.

Will this year be the year the Orioles make their come back? Pick up some Baltimore Orioles tickets and watch the action yourself!

Over the last few years the Baltimore Orioles have made some changes and fans will be buying Orioles tickets in hopes of seeing their team establish themselves in a division with the New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox. Behind new manager Sam Perlozzo and new general manager Jim Duquette, the Orioles will try to further improve and with the addition of some new players, they will look to contend. The Orioles first took the field in 1953 after the struggling St. Louis Browns moved to Baltimore and took on the new name. After struggling for the first decade or so, the Orioles as a franchise came into there own, winning their first World Series in 1966. With six total appearances in the World Series, Baltimore won it all in 1970 after a disappointing loss to the 69' Miracle Mets and again in 1983 behind Orioles legends Jim Palmer, Eddie Murray, Rick Dempsey, and Cal Ripken Jr. 1983 being his sophomore season, this was just the beginning of Ripken's roller coaster ride with the Orioles as he had seen both highs and lows during his "Iron Man" streak of playing 2,632 games, beating Lou Gehrig's all-time Major League record. A new era began for the Orioles in 1992 with the opening of Camden Yards, a modern day ballpark that also harked back to the classic style of early 20th century baseball fields. The O's have not seen much success since the late 90's, and are looking to restore a winning tradition in Baltimore. The first few years of the post Cal Ripken Jr. era have seen early season success marred by injuries and poor performances late in the year. Last year's team saw controversy shake up the clubhouse as Rafael Palmeiro's steroid controversy served as a catalyst for another downfall to a promising season and the firing of manager Lee Mazzilli. Now with Perlozzo at the reins, GM Jim Duquette has brought in Red Sox slugger Kevin Millar, center fielder Corey Paterson, and coveted free agent catcher Ramon Hernandez, to join Melvin Mora, Brian Roberts, Jeff Conine, Jay Gibbons, Javey Lopez, and all-star Miguel Tejada in the field. Starting pitcher Kris Benson will join Erik Bedard, Daniel Cabrera, Bruce Chen, and Rodrigo Lopez in the starting rotation. Orioles tickets will be in demand this year as the team will be taking a mix of familiar players and new ones onto the field, trying to re-establish a Baltimore tradition of winning.
