2014-2015 Brooklyn Nets ticket info

One of the NBA’s “newest” teams, the Brooklyn Nets, have spent the past two seasons generating a considerable amount of buzz around the professional basketball landscape. The Nets finished the 2013-14 NBA season with a 44-38 record, good for sixth in the Eastern Conference, second in the Atlantic Division, and the 6-seed in the playoffs. Brooklyn then proceeded to knock off the Atlantic Division-champion Toronto Raptors in a seven-game opening-round series, winning the final game on the road by a single point.

How’s that for excitement?

The Nets also boast the NBA’s newest arena: Barclays Center, located at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Flatbush Avenue in the heart of Downtown Brooklyn, NY. Barclays Center seats 17,732 for Nets games—making it the third smallest arena in the league in terms of total capacity—and Nets tickets have been one of the areas hottest commodities ever since the franchise came to town.

Due to the relatively low number made available for each game, Brooklyn Nets tickets are almost a status symbol in today’s NBA marketplace. Barclays Center also has dozens of state-of-the-art luxury seats on offer, in addition to an upscale champagne bar available to guests with courtside seats.

Luxury is the name of the game in Brooklyn, but let’s not forget about the team on the court. The Nets have undergone some changes since last season; Shaun Livingston, Paul Pierce, and Marcus Thornton are all gone, but Kevin Garnett (for now), Joe Johnson, and Brook Lopez are still around to provide some continuity. The organization also brought in Jarrett Jack to play point guard and re-signed Alan Anderson to provide depth on the wing.

The Nets have had a busy offseason, even if it is one in which the team neither improved nor took a step back. Front office expectations are still high for this team, which is why ownership brought in Lionel Hollins, former head coach of the Memphis Grizzlies. Hollins most recently led the Grizzlies to the Western Conference Finals in 2013, where his club was swept by the San Antonio Spurs. Hollins has had considerable coaching experience and success, making his hire a smart move by the Nets after Jason Kidd left town this summer.

Brooklyn Nets tickets go on sale soon, meaning the rush to buy them is almost here. With a new coach, some new players, and a brand new arena to call home, the Nets are looking forward to 2014-15.
