Kansas City Royals Tickets

The Kansas City Royals are a team seemingly in a constant state of “next year is our year,” owing to their deep farm system and the hype surrounding the prospects that populate their roster each spring. But, despite the front office’s best attempts to get people to buy Kansas City Royals tickets each year—many of which succeed for the aforementioned reasons—the team never seems to reach the lofty expectations set for it.

The Royals haven’t made the postseason since 1985, which was the year in which the team won its only World Series championship. Despite producing players like Carlos Beltran, David DeJesus, and Tom Gordon, among others, the Royals haven’t been able to reach the playoffs since then.

Prospects like Billy Butler, Alex Gordon, Wil Myers, and others have gone on to develop into quality MLB players, but none of them have enjoyed considerable success in Kansas City. So should the fans still by Kansas City Royals tickets year after year? That depends on the fans’ willingness to believe that one day this team can put it together; more specifically, it relates to the fans’ capacity to hope.

The franchise itself is certainly hopeful that it will be successful with regards to the postseason sooner rather than later, having relatively recently invested in a $250 million renovation to Kauffman Stadium that was officially completed in 2009. Kauffman Stadium was the site of the 2012 MLB All Star Game.

This season, the Royals will again be faced with the task of challenging the mighty Detroit Tigers for the AL Central crown, a fight that hasn’t gone well for the Royals—or any other Central Division team, for that matter—over the past few years.

The Royals have brought in a few veterans to help the crop of young players on this year’s roster potentially get over the hump. After a step forward last year—the Royals won 86 games and finished above .500 for the first time since 2003—the front office hopes that Norichika Aoki and Omar Infante will add some leadership, both on-field and off.

If you’re a hopeful person, buy Kansas City Royals tickets. Because hey: this might just be the year.

KC Royals 2013 preview

There are plenty of reasons to buy Kansas City Royals tickets, too many to count really. But we'll start with these three.

1. Kansas City Royals tickets have the potential to deliver a giant surprise. For years, the Royals have been stockpiling young talent, building a foundation for future success. Well, the future is now. The Royals have all the ingredients to emerge as serious contenders in the American League Central in 2013. Unheralded superstar Billy Butler is the key ingredient. Butler led the Royals in average (.313), home runs (29), RBIs (107), on-base percentage (.373) and hits (192) last season. He is a handful and anchors an explosive Kansas City offense. Alex Gordon, Alcides Escobar, Mike Moustakas, Jeff Francoeur and Eric Hosmer also are entering the primes of their careers. This franchise is peaking and has falling back on the blueprint that made the Royals consistent contenders in the American League two decades ago.

2. The Royals’ pitching staff isn’t bad, either, and the No. 2 reason to Kauffman Stadium seats. Luis Mendoza and Luke Hochevar have their best seasons ahead of them. Steady veterans Bruce Chen and Jeremy Guthrie are stabilizers for a rotation that also will feature multiple bright, young prospects off and on in 2013.

3. Finally, Royals tickets make great emergency napkin for those rare occasions when that fantastic Kansas City barbeque gets a little messy. Kauffmann Stadium offers plenty of finger-licking-good barbeque from the multiple affordable vendors scattered throughout this under-rated baseball venue. Ribs, sandwiches and all the fixings are available at your convenience.

As you can tell, Royals tickets are more valuable than ever. This young, talented team is on the verge of something special in 2013. And even if the Royals come up short, you know the Kansas City barbecue will be worth the price of admission to Kaufmann Stadium on its own. When you throw All-Star slugger Billy Butler into the mix, Royals tickets might just be the best value in baseball. Get your 2013 Kansas City Royals tickets today.

Kansas City Royals Tickets – Mixing It Up - KC Royals tix
The Kansas City Royals look to have things head in the right direction in 2011 and things are looking up in Kauffman Stadium. One way to win in Major league Baseball is to stock your roster with young talent, mix in a few proven vets, and let things roll. The Royals are doing just that and with the AL Central ripe for the taking, these Royals are trying to change the pecking order in the division. Over the winter, GM Dayton Moore reloaded with youth, plucking four up and coming players from the Brewers. The recent addition have inspired hope in Kansas City and Royals tickets are now fan favorites with the good people of Kansas City.
Royals Tickets – Who’s the Man?
Royals ticket holders will need a lineup card until things settle down. The Kansas City Royals will take awhile to sort through some new faces, but there are plenty of talented young players on the roster. The key will be finding the right combination. In the pitching rotation, Luke Hochevar is the main man for right now, based on his improved performance last season. The Royals also traded for right hander Vin Mazzaro to help beef up the rotation, and if Kyle Davies can get a handle on control, the Royals will be in good shape. All three top pitchers will be pushed by the likes of Danny Duffy, and Aaron Crow, both of whom have come through the Royals farm system.
At the plate, second baseman Chris Getz should handle leadoff duties. Batting left handed, Getz will have to perform to keep the job. Mike Aviles, the Royals 2008 Player of the Year, is solid in the #2 spot, while Billy Butler at #3 is a promising young hitter. Cleanup hitter is a work in progress but Kila Ka’aihue is the most likely candidate if he can rebound from a late season slump. Down in the lineup, catcher Brayan Pena became a favorite with Royals ticket holders with clutch hitting late in the season. Melky Cabrera and Alex Gordon should be contenders to fill the middle spots.
Kansas City Royals Schedule
Kansas City Royals tickets have plenty to offer this season as the Royals battle their way through the AL Central. Royals ticket holders will likely see some close games with division rivals Minnesota and Detroit, so Royals tickets for AL central games will be at a premium. For major bang for your buck, check out Royals tickets for home stands against the Chicago Cubs, LA Angels, and of course the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees are always in demand.

Kansas City Royals ticket holders got a special first look at their team against the Boston Red Sox's new Japanese pitcher Daisuke Matsuzaka. But they may not have liked what they saw. Despite several Royals deriding the Japanese pitching sensations special 'gyro-ball' as nothing more than Hall of Famer Carl Hubbell's circle change, the team lost their first game against the Red Sox.
But don't count the Kansas City Royals out just yet. Historically April has always been a bad month for the team. Since 1989 the team has only ever come out on the winning side of one April. This April the Kansas City Royals are facing an even tougher than usual schedule with six games against the Boston Red Sox, with their superstar pitcher Daisuke Matsuzaka, and against the American League defending Detroit Tigers.
4 Good Reasons for Getting Royals Tickets
The Kansas City Royals four most experienced hitters didn't go up against Matsuzaka. Would the game have turned out differently if the Red Sox pitcher had Mike Sweeney, Reggie Sanders, Jason La Rue or Mark Grudzelnek swinging against what he threw? It's anyone's guess. But sales of Kansas City Royals tickets are going strong as fans come out to see for themselves.

Back in the game is Kansas City Royals starting pitcher Zack Greinke who took last year off from the team due to anxiety problems. He is currently pitching third for the Royals while he gets back into his game. Despite the loss of the game, Greinke pitched an extremely good game and fans were excited to see him back. On a less positive note, Octavio Dotel, who spent most of last year out with reconstructive surgery to his elbow, is now on the disable list with a strained oblique. Then Odalis Perez has been hindered with a finger blister since spring training, but it didn't keep him from pitching against the Red Sox

Some may say that Kansas City is a football town, but fans buying Royals tickets may beg to differ. Home of the Negro League Museum, KC is rich in baseball history, and the Royals are a big part of that history. Building team worthy of the baseball tradition Kansas City represents, much less one that can compete in the competitive American League Central which includes the World Series Champion Chicago White Sox is no easy task, but as the team prepares to renovate Kaufman Stadium, they are also preparing to renovate the team. New manager Buddy Bell has experience with coaching underachieving teams as he has already been at the helm of the Detroit Tigers and the Colorado Rockies. Now in Kansas City, Bell will take over a team that has not seen a winning season in two years, but looks to re-establish themselves as a competitive team. The center piece of the Royals is once again all-star first baseman Mike Sweeney. Sweeney may however see more time as a designated hitter as one of the new players to join the team is defensively minded first baseman Doug Mientkiewicz. Mientkiewicz along with veteran second baseman Mark Grudzielanek and right fielder Reggie Sanders will be joining the team. Returning to the Royals will be shortstop Angel Berroa, center fielder David DeJesus, left fielder Emil Brown, and young third baseman Mark Teahen. Veteran Catcher Paul Bako was brought to the team to help set an example for John Buck, performing a role similar to the one he was charged with last year in Los Angeles tutoring young catcher Dioner Navarro. The Royals have many options for the starting rotation, as Scott Elarton, Mark Redman, and Joe Mays were all brought in to join the rotation, while Zack Greinke, Runelvys Hernandez, Jeremy Affeldt, will most likely compete for the other two spots. Mike MacDougal will most likely return to his role as closer, though the team toyed with the idea of giving talented youngsters Andrew Sisco and Ambiorix Burgos a shot at the tail end of the relief core. The Royals look to return to the winning direction they were headed in just a few short years ago. Combining young talent with veteran leadership may prove to be a successful recipe to do just that. Royals tickets will offer more this year than in the past as Kansas City has taken steps toward building its future. The turnaround is right around the corner as there is talent and experience on this team, and improvement is sure to come.
