However effective a playmaker and hitman, Lindros’ left wrist is susceptible to injury. This year could go either way for the Ontario native, and Tippet’s coaching ability and decision-making tilt opinions heavily in favor for a season that will see Lindros’ career end in a blaze of glory.
THE TEAM
The 2006-2007 stars are chock full of more drama than a Mexican soap opera. Heavily criticized captain and American superstar Mike Modano was recently stripped of his captain badge in favor of left-winger Brenden Morrow. The move may have cost Tippet some brownie points, but the largely ceremonial title is not likely to affect anything more than tension in the locker room.
