Boston Bruins Ticket info

2014-2015 Boston Bruins preview

Boston Bruins tickets are always in short supply, and with good reason. The Bruins are one of the NHL’s elite teams, having made the postseason every year since 2007-08. During that string of seven consecutive playoff appearances, Boston appeared in the Stanley Cup Final two times, winning the Cup in 2010-11.

It’s no secret that Bruins tickets are a hot commodity at any point during the NHL season, and even more so during the playoffs. Boston has given its fans plenty of reasons to believe that their hometown team will be near the top of the Eastern Conference standings any given year, which has led to capacity crowds night-in and night-out at north Boston’s TD Garden.

In fact, the Bruins have averaged a sellout per home game each year since their 2010-11 championship season. TD Garden seats might have gotten to be expensive in recent years, but the fans are still willing to pay to see the Bruins.

TD Garden seats just 17,565 for hockey, which ranks 23rd in the NHL in total capacity.

But the fact that it’s on the smaller side doesn’t prevent the Bruins from having one of the best home ice advantages in the league. Passionate Boston fans pack the arena all season long, making TD Garden a difficult place to play for opposing teams.

The team on the ice features several big-name players, including perennial Selke Trophy candidate—and reigning winner—Patrice Bergeron, team captain Zdeno Chara, and Vezina Trophy-winning goaltender Tuukka Rask. They form the core of a team ready to play the role of Eastern Conference juggernaut once again; as of Sept. 1, Boston is the conference’s only team with Stanley Cup odds shorter than 12-to-1. Currently listed at 8-to-1, it would seem that the oddsmakers are well aware of the Bruins’ prowess again this season and have set their odds accordingly.

The secret to the Bruins’ yearly success is actually no secret at all. With Rask in net, Boston has a chance to win any game they play. His Vezina-caliber skill was officially recognized at the end of this past season, and many experts are predicting that Rask will become the first goalie to win the trophy in back-to-back years since Martin Brodeur in 2007 and 2008. Rask is the consensus best goalie in the NHL for a reason, and Bruins fans are glad he’s on their team.

Boston Bruins tickets have become more and more difficult to find in recent years due to the on-ice success of the team. The Bruins have qualified for the NHL playoffs every year since the 2007-08 season, appearing in the Stanley Cup Finals twice during that span, winning the Stanley Cup in 2011.

Boston fans have certainly gotten used to their team’s winning ways. Big-name players like Patrice Bergeron, Zdeno Chara, Milan Lucic and Tuukka Rask are recognizable to members of any NHL team’s fan base and have been major contributors to the team’s annual march to the postseason.

As a result of NHL realignment, the Bruins remain in the Eastern Conference but are now part of the Atlantic Division (essentially the former Northeast Division), and will play a few new divisional opponents during the 2012-13 season as a result: the Detroit Red Wings, the Florida Panthers and the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Boston plays its home games in the north end of the city at TD Garden. Cheap Bruins tickets aren’t easy to come by, but more often than not, the game is worth the price of admission for their fans. The TD Garden seats 17,565 for Bruins games, but owing to the nightly support of the Boston faithful, the crowds can feel much larger.

This is exactly what the Bruins expect when taking the ice at home, since they’re one of the best teams at feeding off of the fans’ energy. In that sense, the not-so-friendly confines of the Garden – if you’re on the opposing team – give Boston a true home-ice advantage for 41-plus games a year.

The goal in Boston every season is always to win the Stanley Cup, and it’s a realistic one. Head coach Claude Julien has a roster that goes four lines deep, hard-nosed defensemen on all three pairings, and the type of young, skilled goaltending most clubs would mortgage their farm systems for.

Bruins tickets will be in high demand this year, especially for their games against fellow NHL powerhouses like the San Jose Sharks (Oct. 24), Pittsburgh Penguins (Nov. 25), Montreal Canadiens (Jan. 30) and Chicago Blackhawks (Mar. 27).

Boston Bruins tickets are a hot commodity as the Bs gear up for another run at Lord Stanley’s Cup. The Boston Bruins will face their biggest rivals, including the Montreal Canadiens, Buffalo Sabres, New York Rangers and more. Boston Bruins tickets also give you the chance to catch the biggest stars from the Pittsburgh Penguins, New Jersey Devils and Philadelphia Flyers, along with up-and comers such as the Tampa Bay Lightning, Florida Panthers and New York Islanders. A visit to the TD Garden means you’ll see the Boston Bruins host all of the top teams in the Eastern Conference, as they look for their sixth straight playoff berth.

The Boston Bruins feature an all-star lineup led by Zdeno Chara, a three-time Norris Trophy Finalist and the 2009 Norris Trophy winner as the NHL’s top defenseman. Chara captained the Boston Bruins to the 2011 Stanley Cup championship, the team’s sixth Stanley Cup and its first since 1972.
In net, the Boston Bruins boast rising star Tuukka Rask, who helps Chara and the rest of the Bruins defense keep the puck out of the net while superstar forwards David Krejci, Patrice Bergeron and Tyler Seguin light it up at the other end.
Boston Bruins tickets also give you the chance to see star rookie defenseman Dougie Hamilton, power forward Milan Lucic and a link to the past in Chris Bourque, son of legendary Boston Bruins defenseman, Raymond Bourque. Playoff tickets will be in high demand as the Boston Bruins surge toward the postseason.
The Boston Bruins were founded in 1924 and as one of the NHL’s “Original Six” franchises. The classic Boston Bruins’ logo has long been an iconic image in hockey, representing such legends of the past as Bourque, Bobby Orr, Phil Esposito and Cam Neely.
The Boston Bruins have played in the TD Garden since 1995, when it was known as the FleetCenter, after 67 seasons at the world-renowned Boston Garden.

2006-07 Boston Bruins ticket and team info

The Boston Garden may be known as the TD Banknorth Garden or TD Garden these days, but it's still one of the best arenas for professional hockey around. Boston Bruins tickets are always at a premium, for when the team takes the ice it's guaranteed to be a great game. Conveniently located in Boston's North End, the Garden is just minutes away from all of Boston's historic and fascinating attractions, including Faneuil Hall, the New England Aquarium, Quincy Market, and the beautiful Boston Common. Make sure you check out the sights in one of America's great historic cities before you check out one of America's great historic hockey teams. The Bruins have won five Stanley Cups in their history, and this year may bring yet another.

The Star
Fans are hoping that towering Slovak defenseman Zdeno Chara will be the Boston Bruins ticket to the post-season. At 6' 9", Chara is the tallest player in the NHL. Through the years, he has represented his native Slovakia in five World Championships and one World Cup. As the Bruins' captain this season, Big Z's task will be to get the many new faces on the team on the same page, and working together as a well-oiled machine. The Bruins have the talent, they just need to gel as a unit, and they will go far into the post-season.

The Coach
The pressure to win falls squarely on the shoulders of former Red Wings defenseman and new Bruins head coach Dave Lewis. Lewis led the Red Wings to a President's Trophy, but has yet to experience much success in the playoffs. With the fresh-faced Bruins, all that should change. Known as an-all-around nice guy throughout the league, Lewis has the leadership skills to whip this team into shape and teach his young players how to win again.

The Team
The offense is going to be the Bruins' ticket to the post-season this year, with the players like Patrice Bergeron, Brad Boyes, and Marco Sturm ready to light up scoreboards across the league. Center Marc Sevard had a breakout season last time around with 97 points, and shows no sign of slowing down this season. Add in Tim Thomas, who was terrific last year at goalie, and the Bruins look like they have everything they need to get to the Stanley Cup Finals.

Boston Bruins info

Boston Bruins tickets are worth beating a path to the door of the Fleet Center in 2005-2006. With the entire NHL world in upheaval, the Bruins have managed to assemble a noteworthy crop of new names to join center Joe Thornton and winger Sergei Samsonov on the ice. Bruins GM Mike O’Connel and head coach Mike Sullivan have the talent on hand to compete for a Northeast Division title and a playoff spot. With that in mind, Boston hockey fans are eyeing up Bruins tickets with real interest.

Thornton is proving himself to be one of the better centers in the NHL. Good size, aggressiveness, and the ability to put home the crucial goal make him an essential part of the Bruins’ plans. While Sergei Samsonov has had his problems with injuries, the long layoff also provided time for the talented forward to get completely healthy in time for another season.

Defensively, Brian Leetch is lacing on the skates and providing solid play for Boston. Rule changes now in affect lend themselves to Leetch’s talents and should improve his scoring potential. Joining Leetch on the ice is the Bruins ’99 draft choice Nick Boynton. Boynton has developed well in three years and looks ready to take it to the next level.

The franchise has given fans with Boston Bruins tickets plenty to cheer about since 1924 with 62 playoff appearances and five Stanley Cups. Throw in another 24 division titles and it’s easy to see why the Boston Bruins have been drawing fanatical NHL hockey fans for over 80 years. Boston Bruins tickets have also provided the chance to see players like Bobby Orr, Phil Esposito, and Paul Coffey. With a 2004 Northeast Division title to their credit, the Boston Bruins probably aren’t far away from another Stanley Cup Final.

What’s not to like about Boston Bruins tickets? The 2005 Boston Bruins are fielding a team with a solid mixture of coaching, experience, and youth. The Fleet Center is the ideal venue for seeing NHL action. It’s been a long wait, but the time has come to step up to the window and say “Bruins tickets.”
